Accountabilities

  • Analyse and document the client’s project requirements, with clear emphasis on scope and objectives
  • Define, specify and document functional requirements
  • Work with clients and within multidisciplinary team environment to analyse content, determine appropriate categorisation and develop information architecture, navigation schemas and interactions
  • Document functional requirements, information architecture and categorisation templates
  • Create, conduct, analyse and report on key user workshops, client forums, usability reviews, stakeholder interviews, user questionnaires and other activities used to gather and define requirements
  • Create wireframes demonstrating how customers and users will interact with the site
  • Understand usability and accessibility standards (e.g. W3C, government), and how and when they should be implemented
  • Work with the client team to manage requirements and specification phase activities from a time and resource perspective
  • Understand importance of quality and collaborate with project team and quality team to ensure quality is maintained through all project phases to completion of project implementation
  • Understand and follow Ucensis framework process, including importance of phases, activities and milestones

Competencies / experience required

  • Minimum 2/3 years experience as business analyst, usability consultant, information architect or similar roles working on solutions for medium to large Internet projects
  • Familiarity with a range of analysis and design techniques and methodologies such as UML, data modeling
  • The candidate should able to provide examples of past work
  • Able to demonstrate a user centric and logical design approach
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Good team member but with ability to work individually, to deadlines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable interacting with client personnel at all levels
